The Faculty of Management and Social Science was among the four extra resources made in 1999 when the then Ebonyi State University College was moved up to an undeniable ordinary University. By that point, the personnel had nine offices including Accountancy, Banking and Finance, Management, Public Administration, Economics, Mass Communication, Political Science, Psychology, and Sociology/Anthropology. The tenth division, advertising, was presented later in the year 2000.
Thusly, settled necessities prompted the part of the Faculty of Management and Social Science into, with the workforce of Management Science lodging the accompanying five offices:

The general theory of the projects in the Faculty of Management Science is adapted towards the advancement of the aggregate personality to empower the students to acknowledge, understand, adventure and change as might be suitable, their condition; given the effect of expanding globalization and mechanical change.
